PUT THE NEEDLE ON IT - music Publishing

Music publishing is the business of ownership, promotion and administration of songs and music. Typically a song or track is licensed for usage in records, radio, television, films, commercials and multimedia productions.
We acquire non-exclusive copyrights from the songwriter or composer and contract them to a specific agreement for a single track or complete catalogue of work.
Depending on the contract that Put The Needle On It has with each individual songwriter and composer for each track that we represent, we will -

  Promote the work of the composers and songwriters to performers, broadcasters, record companies and others who use music on a commercial basis.

  Register the works of songwriters and composers with all appropriate collecting societies and agencies and sub-publishers.

  Monitor and track the use of the music that is under contract to Put The Needle On It and ensure that proper payment is made for all licensed uses.

  Make royalty payments to songwriters and composers in respect of the usage of their music.

  Take appropriate action against anyone using music without the necessary licence.

How we work.

Put The Needle On It doesn't require exclusive contracts that tie songwriters/composers to us. We feel that everyone should be able to make the most of all opportunities available to them. That doesn't mean that we are not interested in exclusive long term working relationships. If a songwriter/composer wishes to be exclusive to Put The Needle On It, we're perfectly happy to put that contract in place.
If you are interested in working with us, all we ask for is initially is a letter (signed by all songwriters/composers for the specified tracks) giving us permission to represent your work, either a single song, selection of songs or complete catalogue (all songs will need to be included with the title of the song and all songwriters/composers for each title) with any licensing restrictions for each title. We will than add your compositions to our catalogue for licensing and arrange contracts for each placement if the songs are not already under contract with Put The Needle On It.
