Talking to some of the artists on www.somojo.net it would appear that once the songs are written and recorded, it is hard for some of the artists to get their music out into the world beyond the digital pages of websites like MySpace, Reverbnation, Somojo and other music community websites
Our aim at Put The Needle On It is to help the artists create a 'product' in the form of a limited edition vinyl record or cd that will enable them to have a physical product to sell and get their music out to a larger audience.
With the so much music now hidden away in various digital formats, on hard -drives, flash drives and personal music players, we wanted to get back to the days when you can have a physical product to look at and read while listening to the music. Many people still believe that vinyl sounds better than music in it's digital form, so we want to give some of the artists they chance to hear the music on vinyl to find out for themselves.
In this digital age where 1000's of identical copies can be downloaded from a single link, each vinyl release from Put The Needle On It will be limited to 1000 copies, making them rare and collectable and more interesting than 'another' downloaded digi-pak album!
We will be releasing singles, eps and albums, all limited editions and all with great music from artists that deserve to be heard!
